Kids love a good story! Books that use simple wording and pictures can facilitate the learning of language. So why not make a story book experience even more engaging? How? Add some manipulable pieces! When kids get to physically participate in an activity, they are more alert, which lends to better learning.

These downloadable story companions can be printed, cut out, and used as you wish. I like to laminate all the images and velcro them either directly into the book or on a felt board. This way, kids can manipulate the pictures while following along with the story.
